HCPC Paramedic / Mentor/Team Leader

Emergency Medical Technician

The purpose of this role is to act as part of a Double Crewed Ambulance (DCA) in an urgent and emergency pre-hospital setting, to safely transport patients, in a clinically appropriate and professional way. You will be treating patients that access the 999,
primary and secondary care systems, who present with a wide range of conditions from the serious emergency life threating to everyday health issues. The role operates in-line with current company policies, best practice guidelines and engaging in person centred patient care by accessing a variety of pathways, to offer appropriate treatment

Emergency Care Assistant

The Emergency Care Assistant (ECA) role is responsible for responding to emergency and non-emergency situations and transporting ambulant/non-ambulant patients whilst delivering high quality, professional and compassionate care. ECA’s will treat patients within the defined scope of practice, in-line with company policy and approved care
pathways for assessment and treatment.
You will undertake routine Patient Transport Service, Urgent Care, GP Admission and Intra-facility transfers as a part of a Double Crewed Ambulance (DCA). ECA’s can work on emergency care shifts as part of a crew with a Technician or Paramedic lead.

When you apply for a role with us we will train you from Day 1. You will be paid during your training and learn how to drive an ambulance, treat patients and support Paramedics and other roles. To apply for our EMT Apprentice Program you need the following:

  1. Previous experience of customer service
  2. Time to complete 3 days of observations, the following 5 day training course and induction days. These days are set, if you miss any day, your application will be withdrawn or moved to the next intake.
  3. Level 2 in English and Maths
  4. Right to work in the UK
  5. UK Driving (Manual) Licence with no more than 6 points (Held for at least 12 months).
  6. No relevant previous criminal convictions.
